Anthony Francis

Partner

Anthony co-founded Pelican Capital in 2020 with Richard Morrison.

Anthony has completed over 35 private equity transactions. He has a strong exit track record.

Outside of private equity, Anthony was a Director at ContactEngine, a high growth software start-up that grew rapidly and successfully exited to NICE (NASDAQ: NICE). This provided him with an owner manager’s perspective of raising capital.

Anthony qualified as a chartered accountant at Ernst and Young, working in their audit and financial due diligence teams for over four years at the firm.

Elliot Vickerstaff

Investment Manager

Elliot joined Pelican in March 2023 as a member of the investment team. Since joining, Elliot has worked on a number of new opportunities and has helped to develop the firms origination strategy.

At Pelican, Elliot is responsible for origination, execution, and portfolio management.

Prior to Pelican Elliot spent 4 years at BGF, a lower mid-market private equity firm where he worked on 7 transactions within B2B software, technology services, cyber security, and eCommerce. Elliot also spent time at a VC fund which specialised in B2B software and marketplace businesses.

Elliot has also founded an eCommerce business, and is an alumni of the New Entrepreneurs Foundation (“NEF”). He has a 1st class degree in Entrepreneurial Business Management from Newcastle Business School.

Heather Duncan

Chief Operating Officer

Heather joined Pelican in 2024 as Chief Operating Officer having gained over 23 years’ experience in the private equity industry, primarily in the UK lower-mid market.

Heather worked at Livingbridge for over 20 years and has in depth experience across all aspects of private equity including operations, investor relations, fundraising, finance, legals, regulation and compliance, as well as co-investment and fund of funds investing. She also worked with Livingbridge’s listed retail investment funds. Following this, Heather was a senior consultant at Actis / General Atlantic focused on client relations and fundraising.

Heather qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2008 and has a BA (Hons) in American and Canadian Studies from the University of Birmingham and UCSC.

Jonathan Jacoby

Investment Executive

Jonathan joined Pelican in 2024 as a member of the investment team.

Prior to joining Pelican, Jonathan spent 5 years at Fairgrove Partners, a boutique strategic advisory firm serving primarily mid-market UK PE funds and their portfolio companies, by providing commercial due diligence and growth strategy consulting support.

Jonty Hogg

Investment Manager

Jonty joined Pelican in November 2022 and is a member of the investment team. Since joining, he has been involved in the investments in ECA International and Finders International and played a key role in the successful exit of Atech to iomart Group Plc in October 2024.

Jonty was also instrumental in executing three bolt-on acquisitions with Atech prior to its sale. He is currently responsible for deal origination and execution as well as the portfolio management of ECA International and Finders International.

Prior to joining Pelican, Jonty worked in corporate finance at Ardonagh Specialty, where he supported several acquisitions and refinancing processes. He began his career at EY, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant after three years in the firm’s audit team. Jonty holds a First-Class Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Leeds.

Rebecca Bankhead

Investment Executive

Becky joined Pelican in 2025 as a member of the investment team.

Prior to joining Pelican, Becky spent 3 years at Peel Hunt as part of their Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team, advising on UK takeovers.

Becky is a chartered accountant, having qualified whilst working at EY within their Financial Services audit team. She has a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Nottingham.

Richard Morrison

Partner

Richard co-founded Pelican Capital with Anthony in 2020 and has completed over 25 private equity transactions.

Richard currently sits on the board of Pelican’s four portfolio companies. He has a high level of expertise investing in the technology sector.

During his career Richard gained experience across a number of technology sub-sectors including mobility software, with Creative Cark Park and YourParkingSpace, and compliance and business services, with Expolink and Atech.

Prior to Pelican, Richard worked at Rockpool Investments for 4 years and previously spent 2 years working in corporate finance at investment banking advisors Lincoln International. Richard qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC after three years in the firm’s audit team.

Roy Mani

Partner

Roy joined Pelican in 2025 and has over 20 years of private equity experience.

Prior to Pelican, Roy was co-head of Bowmark’s lower mid-market fund and a member of Bowmark’s Investment Committee. Roy’s focus at Bowmark was investments in the technology, technology services, and information services sectors.

Before Bowmark, Roy was Head of Small Cap Investments at CapVest and a Partner at STAR Capital Partners, where he focused on investments in the transport, healthcare, and energy sectors.

Troy Harris-Speid

Partner

Troy has over 12 years of private equity experience in the UK mid-market with a focus on Technology, Data and Tech-Enabled Business Services.

Troy has experience across a wide range of Technology sectors, including Software; Info Services; Ad/MarTech; Cloud Services and Digital Consumer.

Prior to Pelican, Troy was a Director at Bridgepoint and LDC. Before becoming a Private Equity professional Troy was an Investment Banker at Rothschild and qualified as an accountant at EY. He has a BA Economics from the University of Manchester.
